Large Format Printing

Faculty of Art & Design provides photo quality large format printing (Epson 9800) for both staff and students. 

For Staff Only - Online Submission System

Staff print jobs can be submitted via Artdes Print Job Submission System.  

Please note all online print jobs submitted have 5 DAYS turn around during non-teaching
periods and a 2 WEEK turn around during peak periods

For Staff & Students - Onsite Printing

Instructions to print on the large format printers:

1. Book a time for printing through the Art & Design Student Equipment Booking System
2. Have your documents prepared in CS4 file AND PDF file before printing
3. Embed fonts
4. Choose correct setting for document size
5. Convert document to CMYK format is preferably
6. Flatten all images
7. Maximum printing of 2 hours per person per day
8. No creating/editing of document files on the printing computer
9. Note: Students who don't comply with these rules will not be allowed to print.

Estimated time for printing:

Onsite printing

• A4 - 15 minutes
• A3 - 30 minutes
• A2 - 45 minutes
• A1 - 50 minutes
• Roll paper (per metre) - 45 minutes

Online submission printing

• 1 week turn around during non-teaching periods
• 2 weeks turn around during teaching periods

Please note that at peak times i.e. end of semester, there are significant demands on large formate print so to ensure that you get your printing done on time please book early.
